Jim is leading reform by refusing a taxpayer-paid car, voting to cut the size of the legislature and making Harrisburg more transparent.
Jim has been successful in securing public and private funding for important road improvements, economic developent projects and other community needs.
He opposes legalized abortion, except when the life of the mother is in danger or the pregnancy is a result of rape or incest

Years before Jim Marshall was elected to represent the 14th District in Harrisburg, he was working to make his community better.
Jim grew up in Big Beaver Borough, where he still lives today. He's a firefighter for the Big Beaver Borough Volunteer Fire Company. He served two terms as vice president of the borough council and another nine on the recreation board. He coached his daughter's softball teams for five years.
Prior to 2006, when he was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Jim worked for 22 years in customer service and systems design for Ag Hog Pittsburgh.
